What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of physical and mental conditioning that enhance your physical strength, flexibility, and coordination as well as reduce stress, improve mental focus, and as a result foster an improved posture and a sense of well-being. Pilates can be for anyone and everyone. Nowadays we refer the movement system as Pilates, initially it was named as ‘Contrology’ by his inventor Joseph H. Pilates. There have been many different approaches to the system evolved but here is a short overview.

Why Pilates?

In general with too much rest (now that we are having plenty), we tend to stiffen up and get more tense overall. It is a fact that our body’s soft tissues will shorten and tighten if not moved through their full range regularly.
Stay home and move with me, no prior experience or equipment needed. All is needed you and your body on the mat.

Transform your body

Pilates is a full body integrated exercise method that stretches, strengthens, and aligns your body all at the same time under the control of the mind.

Contrology (Pilates) is not a system of haphazard exercises designed to produce only bulging muscles. Contrology was conceived to limber and stretch muscles and ligaments so that your body will be as supple as that of a cat, not muscular like a brewery-truck horse or professional weight lifter you so much admire at the circus.
